What is Vision?

Vision is an AI-powered project management and collaboration platform built for filmmakers and other creative professionals. It brings all stages of production - from pre-production to post - into one streamlined workspace. With features like smart script breakdowns, asset management, scheduling, location tracking, and secure file sharing, Vision replaces scattered tools and endless email chains with a single, connected hub.

How can I invite collaborators to Vision?

Open your project in Vision, click the “Invite” button in the top right, and enter your collaborator’s email address. You can assign them a role with specific permissions so they only see and edit what’s relevant to them. Once invited, they’ll receive an email with a link to join the project instantly. If they’re new to Vision, they won’t need a ShotDeck account or invite code to get started.

Vision is designed for anyone working in film, TV, advertising, music videos, photography, gaming, or other creative industries who needs to manage complex projects. From independent creators to major studios, producers, directors, cinematographers, line producers, art directors, production designer, costume designers, and creative teams use Vision to stay organized, reduce costs, and keep every department in sync.

Is Vision free?

Yes - Vision offers a free Basic plan with limits. Each account can have up to 3 free Basic projects. Vision uses a project-based subscription model, giving you full flexibility to only pay for what you need. When you’re ready to grow, you can choose from Starter – $12/month, Professional: $49/month, Studio: starting at $129/month and Enterprise with unlimited usage, billed per your production needs.

Why do I need my phone number to sign up?

We require phone verification to protect your creative work and scripts. Phone verification helps us: Prevent unauthorized access to your projects, ensure you're collaborating with the right people & stop platform abuse. Your phone number is only used for security - we follow GDPR and SOC 2 compliance standards.

How does Vision use AI?

Vision uses AI to speed up and simplify production workflows. Features include automatic script breakdowns and image generation. All AI processing is secure - your data is never used to train AI models, is anonymized during processing, and is not reviewed by humans.

Does Vision use my data to train AI?

Vision does not use your data to train AI models. Any AI features in Vision process your content securely, without human review, and delete or anonymize data after processing. Your projects and files remain yours, and we never sell your data.

Is Vision secure?

Yes. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, stored on secure EU-based servers, with any US services operating under strict Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) signed between Vision and each provider. We also use Cloudflare as an additional security layer for advanced threat detection and account protection, along with role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication, GDPR compliance, and AI safeguards that ensure your data is never used for training models. Regular audits and privacy protocols keep your projects safe at all times.

Is there an offline version?

Not yet. Vision is cloud-based by design, so you can access your projects anywhere and collaborate in real time. We do plan to release a desktop app with offline sync in the future, allowing you to work without an internet connection and automatically update when you’re back online.

Is there an mobile app?

Not yet, but we’re working on it. Vision is currently optimized for desktop browsers. You can also use Vision on an iPad or other tablet - we recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience.

Vision was founded by Arkadiy Kreslov (https://kreslov.de), a cinematographer with experience on high-profile music videos and commercial productions. The platform is built by a global team of developers, designers, and industry professionals, working alongside award-winning filmmakers such as cinematographer Lawrence Sher (Joker 2, The Hangover) and other leading creatives shaping the future of production. We’re also powered by two very cute office dogs. 🐾
